It was the perfect day for a wedding… the sun was warm, the trees green with a slight breeze rustling their leaves. And, best of all, there was laughter in the air. Like everywhere. :) We arrived at the Steven’s household as friends and family were bustling about doing last minute touches. And, already, the place looked gorgeous. Last minute touches are sometimes a bit stressful, but not with this group. They were setting out the sangria and enjoying the sunshine all in one breath. I think that was my favorite part of this gorgeous wedding, it was soaked in laughter and love, with personal touches that just made it totally Ian & Leslie. After almost a decade together, these two were able to put a unique spin on wedding tradition. Maybe even skipping the tradition, and just making it a wonderful celebration of their lives together.
To set the mood, there’s no sense in sticking to the typical one or two colors… instead they chose a gorgeous pallet of summer… yellow, orange, coral, greens, with splashes of purple & blue.
How gorgeous is this bouquet by Willow and Wildflowers?
Toasts with friends. Not much is better.
They had a Buddhist monk marry them. He performed a beautiful ceremony, complete with dongs and water blessings.
I sorta really love that Leslie chose a non-traditional color… the coral looked simply stunning on her.
They had the whole crowd laughing with their vows.
LOVE!
Just a few shots of Ian & Leslie before heading in to celebrate.
Check back for their awesomely fun reception… outfit change included
