Today Janelle gives us some tips on creating a distinctive hair and make up look for the modern bride. Look at those lashes! Our advice for ALL types of brides: wearing lashes on your wedding day is a must! Lashes make your eyes crazy gorgeous! They give you added fullness and length that completes any look. As a photographer, stand out eyes will take any bridal portrait to a whole ‘nother level.
This lavender dress from Alta Modaย Bridal was just plain gorgeous. The back. The lace. Everything. Look at how the swoop of fabric drapes her curves and the lace highlights that sexy back. I LOVE this dress!

Janelle’s Tips: For eyesย pick a color that makes them stand out. Browns and bronzes for blue eyes. Purple and neutrals forย green eyes. Pinks and soft tones for brown eyes.

Is your hair your best feature? Style an up do that drops jaws to the floor.
Want something more unique? Pick your favorite color and go bold on the eyes or choose a really bold lip. Same goes with your hair, want to pick something crazy? Do it. And rock it.

For this shoot Janelle created “sunset eyes” to make these lovely lids pop. Paired with a shimmery pink lip color, the whole look tied into her gorgeous lavender gown, and the lovely glow of the mountain backdrop. Love, love, love how it looks on this bride.
The eyes played up the romantic look and the lips added a sultry softness.
