It was one of those days that make my heart sing. A warm summer day, sparkling with raindrops. There’s just something about a summer storm that makes me smile. And, rumor has it, a little rain is good luck on a wedding day. Making this summer rainy day the perfect day for Jessica & Matt’s wedding. They had planned the day perfectly, and the rain threw in a little spontaneity. Perfect for this pair. She may like to have all her ducks in a row, and he loves a little unknown adventure. So while the weather outside was creating the perfect mood for the day, Garett & I began documenting their perfect day. Jessica got ready at a lovely bed and breakfast next-door to their wedding location. Her gorgeous shoes, lacy dress and lovely flowers were paired beautifully together.
A quiet moment before everything got started.
While I was with Jessica getting the last touches in place, Garett took Matt to their First Look location. See, doesn’t the rain just make this moment magical? Something about a ย vintage bed and breakfast, a summer day, and the sparkling rain. Just perfection.
Matt was so excited to see his bride, I believe his statement was something along the lines of, “this is worse than waiting for Christmas!” ย And man, was it worth the wait. She isย stunning.
I love that she is hisย grounding love, and he can make her laugh so well. He is her joy, she holds his whole heart.
A brief stroll through the summer storm to the Stillwater Public Library, where they would be getting married in just a short moment.
With less then a half hour to spare, the rain stopped… allowing for their dream roof-top wedding to move forward, no umbrellas required. :)
Beautifully done you two. Good work getting married. :) Then, it was off to some seriously fun celebrating. Check back soon for their fabulous reception, complete with a stop off on the way there :)
