Their engagement photos were some of my favorites, because Jessica & Jake have a playful, authentic love that just shines through how they interact with each other. He loves her deeply. She finds comfort in holding his hand and walking through life together. He is her solid foundation, and she is his joy. Her laughter is so contagious its hard not to be joyful when she smiles. I love how these two fit together. And their wedding day was a beautiful celebration of their relationship.

It was a hot summer day; the clouds floating in and out all morning, finally settling into a beautiful canopy to shade their wedding day. Occasionally the wind would rustle the leaves and bring a breath of warm air to cool off his face and flutter her skirt. The warm sun beckoned all to the Park in Parley’s Canyon where they had planned their fabulous wedding day. But, first, the girls got ready at the salon where Jess works.

I love her classic wedding gown from Alta Moda Bridal and the amazing ring box they made for their fabulous wedding rings.

They could not resist the call of the rustling summer leaves any longer :) It was time for Jess to go see her husband for the first time. I so love it when my couples choose to do a First Look. It is moments like these that they will cherish for the rest of their lives. A few moments during their wedding day reserved just for them to relish in the day. The fact that after today, they will embark on a new journey together as husband and wife. A time to really sink those memories in deep, and be able to express the joy of the day to each other. Love, love, love how much these two love each other.

Found under some lovely wedding trees, their ceremony in the park was an emotional affair, filled with beautiful flowers, lovely vows, and perhaps a tear of joy or two.
