Garett’s long time dream has been to build his own home. The one problem being, he married this gal that likes to live in the city, not on that far far away edges of town where one may build new homes. So, compromise struck, and we bought this adorable yellow brick house just outside of Sugarhouse. Aw, you all say, fun! Yes, but then we completely destroyed the inside. Like piles like this came out frequently hauled by yours truly. These arms haven’t needed to go to the gym in a while, they had the sweet sledgehammer & cement workout. boom. (literally. it’s loud destroying a house)
Then came along the fun part. We got to put it all together again. With our own two hands. :) So, this my friends, is the house that we built, at least the inside part. A few before & afters. It is really fun getting to live Garett’s dream with him. And the man is freakin good at this construction business.

It’s been really fun to get to live in a place that we worked on together. And, all of these are pictures with my ridiculously old 3G iphone (yes, there is at least one still functioning) ย So, you’ll just have to come over for a glass of wine one of these lovely summer evenings, and I’ll give you the real tour. It’s better in person without those iphone scratches.
