Following their gorgeous first look (seriously one of my all time favorites) we walked over to Christy & Joe’s wedding site to snap a few there.
After a quick break inside to freshen up and re-hydrate, it was time to get married :) Tears were not far as Joe got to watch his bride walk down the aisle.
There wasn’t a dry eye during their touching ceremony.
married! love how excited Joe is :)
Christy & Joe planned an intimate first dinner married to share with their friends and family. It was all kicked off by a cocktail hour that included these amazing infused waters by food finery, and, perhaps, a trip or two downstairs for this whiskey that Christy & Joe brought back from their last vacation.
The toasts filled the room with laughter.
Since this is their day, and Christy happens to love dessert first, they “cut the cake” before dinner. (love that!) The best part of their “cake” though, was that it wasn’t close to cake. Instead they had this amazing french macaron tree filled with vintage inspired spoons holding the most delicious and beautiful macaroons.
And then, there was the first meal they shared as a married couple. Deliciousness, tons of laughter, and a few stolen kisses. I’d say it was one great evening.
While everyone finished their last sips of wine, the guys headed out side to finish off the evening with rounds and rounds of Polish Horseshoes. If you don’t know what that is, you just might want to google it. I’d never heard of it before, but the amount of laughter it brought, (of course, accompanied by trash talk and celebrations) means it is one to add to your next party. And of course, if you can get a backdrop like this for your game, all the better.
Christy & Joe, you planned the perfect day. Your sweet love for each other, and the way you’ve worked to make your relationship shine is inspiring. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day. big hugs for you guys.
