I was happy to introduce you all to Christy & Joe during their engagements, and am even more excited to share their wedding day. They planned an intimate affair with only their closest friends and family in the mountains surrounding Park City, in the adorable town of Midway. They even made a whole weekend out of it. They all stayed the whole weekend in this awesome house, with the highlight of their wedding smack in the middle of the weekend. Surrounded by the golden hills of summer, it was the perfect setting.
Since everyone was already all together, they spent the morning hiking, playing pool and eating delicious goodness.
And, of course, being pampered. Christy just might be the most hard-core bride I’ve met. Just 24 hours (or maybe it was even less) prior to walking down the aisle she had emergency surgery. You would never know from her calm demeanor and gorgeous peace. The only thing that gave her away was the University Hospital mug. :)
Don’t you just love these wedges? perfect for a mountain ceremony if you ask me.
This simple and elegant bouquet by her bestie. Just the right amount of pop against the golden & green hills.
Her JCrew gown was perfect. A classic beauty that fit Christy to the tee and was just the right amount of simplicity with sheen and elegance.
While Christy put on the final touches, Garett headed outside with Joe. I so much love it when couples choose to do a first look, and Christy & Joe’s was full of emotion, beauty and love. It is such a special moment during the day to just get to enjoy one another and the fact that today is their wedding day.
Joe, waiting with just a few butterflies.
Those butterflies disappear the moment he sees his gorgeous bride.
These just might be my favorites. I just can’t get enough of how much he loves her. And she fits so perfectly in his arms.
Beautifully elegant bride. Seriously, Christy, you are stunning.
I sort of love the feel that you get from this one. You can’t see the details, only the fact that he is tenderly adoring his bride.
so, now that they have you tearing up, you’ll have to come back for their emotional wedding and celebration. After their first look, we headed back to those eagerly waiting at the house for cocktail hour and an emotional ceremony.
Christy & Joe, I love how much you guys love each other and support one another. Joe, your eyes give you away. There is so much love for Christy there, it even makes me tear up. Christy, your quiet lean on him just proves you find your comfort in his arms. I’m excited to see your love grow even more.
