Merry Christmas week!!! I can’t believe it’s here already! This is one of my favorite weeks all year, there’s just something about the holiday that is magical, and romantic, and just filled with love from family and friends. And, to make this year’s Christmas week even better, I have a deliciously romantic wedding to share with you. The bride, Candy, and I have been “online dating” now for a couple months, so when I finally got to meet her (and see how much she loved Randy), the relationship was sealed. We love these two. Like a lot. One of my favorite things about them, was how intentional they are in showing their love. Every detail they included on their wedding day held lovely significance.
Their love of Christmas and winter drew them to the log cabin that is nestled in the snow-clad evergreens and birch trees, also known as the Log Haven. The restaurant had decorated fabulously for Christmas, and was, in fact, the perfect location for their wedding.
All morning Randy kept sending surprises to his love. Her favorite movie is The Lake House, so he hunted down just the right mailbox, and sent her love letters and a rose in her mailbox.
He had originally proposed with this Cinderella ring, so he also sent this adorable Cinderella box for her to keep it in.
The mice from above represent Candy’s “helpers.” She made her own wedding dress with the help of both her own mother and Randy’s mother. Didn’t they do an amazing job?
The dress was slipped into, the boots were tied, the jackets donned… and it was time for their First Look.
What an amazing moment for these two. Talk about a lifetime memory, I love love love it when couples choose to see each other and experience this moment together. So very special. (I’d say he likes her, what would you say? so much love and happiness)
Garett joined me for their wedding day, so we were able to get all these great, varying angles. And these next two are maybe my favorite from the whole day – captured by my hot hubby. :) She is so happy!
Randy is so her rock. And, Candy, those eyes!! You are stunning.
Randy’s mother gave them this gorgeous quilt as a wedding gift. So special and full of love.
The surprises weren’t done yet… Randy had a ride better the Cinderella’s coach :) “Just Married” in Christmas lights on their get-away car. :) We had to sneak in a few photos with it before it was too dark.
Then, we went back inside for a bit of warmth, and to get ready for the best part – the ceremony. :) Check back soon for the rest of their wedding.
