The beauty of their ceremony, and the beauty of their love deserved a seriously beautiful celebration. And, let me tell you, it was beautiful. Steven Moore Designs did an amazing job styling this dock tent to be a high-end event that would make anyone smile. I love the combination of ivory and grey to create a calming, simple, yet sophisticated look that would wow anyone.
Now, I have a confession. (Some of you may want to skip the reading and move on to the yummy pictures) But, here goes… I don’t like wedding cake. I know, I know, you can put all your “what the?!?!” comments below… but really, it’s just not my thing. However, a nice lemon bar, or slice of raspberry torte. Oh, yes please. I could eat a whole dinner of that type of treat. Which may be why I fell in love with this tasty display from Pure Bliss Desserts. Rather then going the traditional route – Caitlin & Nick had these seriously amazing, like, I’m pretty sure this meringue is straight from heaven, desserts. And they had them displayed beautifully on old suitcases, and trunks. Fitting in perfectly with that travel theme.
This seriously lovely affair started out with some sweet toasts. Not only do Nick & Caitlin love each other beautifully, they are also surrounded by many people who love them very dearly.
Their first dance was maybe the most stunning I’ve ever seen. They glided across the floor like a princess in a fairly tail. It was breath-taking.
This daddy loves his daughter oh so very much. I just love this look, such a perfect mixture of pride in her and love for her.
Nick is loved just as deeply. His mother had to do something difficult that is beyond what most mothers must do on their child’s wedding day… She is so proud of Nick and loves him so much, she is willing to allow their own relationship to transition into something new as she and Nick’s dad stay in South Africa. Nick is well loved.
As the night kicked off into a fun dance party – Nick & his mom taught everyone an African line dance and an Irish line dance. So much fun!
Guess who’s more excited to eat this amazing coconut cake? (I was too full on lemon bars and meringue to try a tasty morsel but word on the street was: BEST CAKE EVER.)
This perfect day finished off with some fantastic dancing and a little sparklers. Perfect day.
Caitlin & Nick (as well as all the O’Briens & da Silvas) you guys are seriously amazing. I loved getting to be a part of your day, and I can’t wait to be married friends now :) Love you all!!!
